TASMANIAN OPEN 2007 AND TASMANIAN LIGHTNING CHAMPIONSHIP 2007
Class One Myer Tan Australian Chess Grand Prix event. Hosted by Burnie Chess Club for the TCA.
Venue: Haven View Primary School, Marriott Street, Havenview, Burnie 7320
Format: 6 round Swiss. 90 minutes plus 10 seconds per move per player.
Rounds Start: Saturday 9th June 10:30 a.m., 2:45 p.m.
Sunday 10th June 10:00 a.m., 2:15 p.m., 6.30 p.m.
Monday 11th June 9:30 a.m.
Entry Fees: $55 waged, $50 concession, $30 U18, $20 U12. $5 discount if received by 1st June. Entries after Wednesday 6th June may be declined if there is insufficient equipment. Entries on the day, if accepted, will close 10:00 a.m. sharp.
Prizes: 1st 40%, 2nd 20%, 3rd, U1700, U1500 10% of prize pool (subject to at least three entries per division) U18 prize Male $50, U18 prize Female $50, U12 prize chess book voucher. Prize pool is entry fees less running costs and levies.
No one will be eligible to receive more than one prize.
Arbiters: Chief Arbiter & D. O. P. Russell Horton, Assistant Arbiters Dylan Kuzmic, Carey Kuzmic.
Lightning: Will be held 7.00 p.m. on Saturday 9th June. Entry payable on the night will be $5.00. Total Entry fees will be paid as prizes. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Best Junior.
